NMC Work Team #1

On September 18, 2004 the first NMC work team arrived in Kenya. This team led by Tom & Terry Richmond was made up of the following: Tim Spencer, Mike Worthman, Margie Helmuth, Jan Yoder, Sue Berkey, Robby & Peggy Bearss, Matt Miller, Denny Templeton and Dick Kline. They worked on pouring the footprint of the baby center. They also did a lot of painting on the inside and outside of the duplex where Bill & Melody will live. Chai time, Ladies Ministry and a visit to the local preschool were some of the highlights of this trip. They returned home on October 2nd tired but enthusiastic about what God was doing in Kenya.

**If anyone from this team wants to share a favorite memory or life change as a result of this trip, feel free to add a comment below.

It's amazing how far the Center has developed in three years -- A giant-sized thanks goes to that first team that stepped out by faith. They planted the trees that are now growing! WOW!

The construction of the center is going very well. As of Oct. 10, 2007 we are close to 70% complete. The trusses will be installed begining next week. Railings on the 2nd story are being installed now. The lower level next to where the babies eat and sleep is being finished. There is still much to do and our teams will be busy painting, welding, putting on roof and ceiling steel and much more. Please keep our upcoming teams in your prayers. God is so good and I thank Him for allowing me and my family to be a part of this.
